Holiday music used to get on my nerves…and to be honest, at times, it still does. I enjoy holiday music in moderation! I really like the music that is upbeat and happy. Some holiday songs can bring out sadness or elicit unexpected emotions. My favorite song is ‘Christmas Wrapping’ by the Waitresses. My daughter says ‘Jingle Bells’ is her favorite. And this year my husband says ‘Christmas Eve Sarajevo’ by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra is his favorite, though he is constantly playing ‘Best Gift Ever’ by Elizabeth Chan.
Holiday music has the ability to brighten or dampen the mood of the day. I prefer to keep it light and fun this time of year.
